Bargetto and Amberhill Merlot?

Any tn's or impressions on these two '97 Calif. Merlots?

Drew, am not wild about Bargetto...rather workmanlike wines. The winery is on the coast south of Santa Cruz, & I believe the merlot is negociant wine from grapes hauled in from elsewhere. Others in the Santa Cruz Mtns. doing more interestin' stuff. cp
