'97 Benziger Sonoma Merlot

With Filet Mignon at Ocean City over the weekend.
Almost opaque with mature plum, toasted oak, vanilla and toffee scents and flavors. A very nice, multi-dimentional merlot with a 30 sec. finish. A nice suprise re. to merlots these days and one where the oak is balanced nicely with the other flavors. 13.5% Alc/vol $18
