To start off, I had a low expectation for this wine. My wife had bought this for me when she saw it on sell. I haven't been impressed with many Merlots since I have ventured out to other wines starting about a year ago.

We made some chili today and it cooked in the crock pot from about 7am to 1pm. I had poured about half of the bottle in the chili. Maby it was that the wine paired very well with the chili, but what ever the case the wine realy took me by supprise. The back of the bottle says it has flavors of blackberry jam, blueberry, and vanilla.

I could definatly pick up the blackberry and vanila, but no blueberry. It had a very good mouth feel, a good smooth finish with a bit of spice.
