At the specific request of the hostess, I brought a bottle of this to an Italian pasta with red sauce, sausage, meatballs, and pork chop dinner on Sunday night. I can't say it did anything special for me. Maybe it was the pairing, but I doubt I'd go running back for another bottle. I do like the Yellowtail Shiraz, but not this Merlot. $7.49

Bad match IMHO with the listed goodies. The Shiraz would have done quite nicely. WW
