1997 St. Francis Reserve Merlot

Another orphan that I have not a clue except I bought it at the club in 2000. Expected it to be a dead as Murphys' Goat but the aroma on ouring was pretty derned nice. Brite ruby with a slight brick rim. Cherries, vanilla and a small spicy note all came over in the mouth. Varietally correct and pleasureable to drink. Not killer but surprisingly good. 88/87 38 per 14.5% alc. WW
