2003 Fat Bastard Merlot

This is one seriously good Merlot.

I had it with a very garlicky salad and arroyos con pollo y frijoles negros. The following description is from their website, and describes it much better than I can:

Intense dark ruby color, aromas of stone-fruit like plums and cherries, combine smoothly with cedar and toasty aromas. On the palate its generous, round and juicy tannins are well integrated bringing harmony and complexity.
