I've been Massetoized!! I've never had this wine and never thought I would buy one for me so imagine my surprise when my host pulled one out!

Highly structured and lush merlot, At once noble and flamboyant. This merlot performed like no one I've tried before. The range fo flavours adn the depth of flavours was impressive. If I cna find it on sale,,.....

Masseto is the single vineyard single varietal (100% merlot) wine that is generally considered one of the top of the SuperTuscans. Made by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia. Generally in the $300+ area per bottle so this was definitely a treat.

Matriach is the second wines of the Bond Winery, ran by the same people that run Harlan. Generally in the $85 area on release.

Nice night for sure and happy to have been a guest of such generosity.
