2004 Stags' Leap Merlot

Was out for dinner with clients on Tuesday night at Atlantic Fish Company and they ordered this wine.

For $60, they were trying to in all honesty watch my expense account (many a client don't care....)... but this ended up being a pretty decent bottle. Deep garnet purple in color, med to full body in texture, jammy and berries, a dose of tannins, and just enough of a herby scent to make a nice solid bottle. Drained quickly. $27 a bottle at retailers.
