I need some information for my wedding. We plan to serve Mexican style food. Pork will be the meat with rice, beans, salsa, the works. I need to find wines that will compliment the meal. My fiance prefers reds and usually sweet wines. Any help offered will be appreciated.

Hi Winesguy and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend a California Red Zinfandel, and either an American or German off dry Riesling, such as a Riesling Spatlese.

Are you set on serving wine out of a bottle? If not how about making a Sangria? You can make it out of inexpensive - medium priced wines and it will truly go a long way. You can make it as sweet as you want and it is also very festive looking with the fresh fruit floating in it. Ole'
