Barossa Valley. A wonderful Aussie merlot made in the Aussie style of big fruit but not overoaked nor overripe. Delicious, pure and seemless. Dark plum and dark fruit but showing hints of red fruit in the mid palate with mineral, earth and spice notes. The finish is very long and no heat detected from the 14.5% Alc/vol. $26. Served as an after dinner sippin' treat with conversation with a visiting friend.
