Is the 1996 Bonverre Merlot, Vin de Pays d'Oc is as good as they say? I have a chance to buy a case of it; however, I have never tasted it before.

Is there some reason that you are not able to taste it before buying it?? IMO, it is best to taste before making a case purchase, because it is your palate that you need to satisfy....not everyone elses. No matter how many others like it, if it is a style that you don't.....you are going to be stuck with a case of wine you don't like....where is the fun in that??
