2005Township 7 Merlot BC, VQA

Deep nose, more akin to a warmer climate, lots of darker fruits, but reserved. Winemaker notest that this also had a few barrel of the GSM that he made for a special bottle acidentally mixed in so it does come up in the tasting. Still VQA because the final blend was still more than 85% merlot.

Merlot supple but with a noticeable heartiness that was probably from the GSM. still very well balanced and had a nice grip a the end with the tannins. Could probably stand a couple of years of waiting. Bought a few of these too to go home with.
