1999 Omaka Springs, Merlot, New Zealand ($10.99 SHWC). Did not live up to the adversising. The best I can say is that it was a very ordinary New World Merlot. Yes it was that bad. All plums and oak. No structure, length, bells, or whistles. Fell flat against extra sharp Vermont cheddar in front of a raging fire.
