In response to food question, WW suggested "light shiraz". So, would appreciate good QPR suggestions from WW and/or the rest of y'all. cp

As with most most wine the cheaper the lighter. You might look at Banrock Station, Black Opal, Hardy's, Jacob's Creek, Oxford Landing, Rosemont Estate, Stonehaven, and Wyndham Estate Bin 555 for starters.

WW I think I've this right now. Mushrooms can tell the difference between shiraz and syrah, but cp can't. Hmmmmmmm!

My remarks were aimed at WW because up under Wine/Food Affinities he defended Drew's recommendation for shriaz with one perogie and syrah with one with mushrooms; after I questioned if the mushrooms knew the difference. Then he comes along here and recommends a syrah to you when you were looking for a shiraz. Humor loses its impact during explanations.

The Wyndham Estate Bin 555 is as steady as a rock, but any of the others are fine. These inexpensive shiraz' are all under $10.00.
