with Omaha Filet Mignon Steaks dredged in cracked peppercorn, garlic and salt...grilled for grill lines and baked to rare/medium served with baked spuds, sour cream and un-salted butter with a medley of sugar snap beans, broccoli, red onion and carrot partially steamed with olive oil, garlic and 21 year old balsamic vinegar... the celebration meal equaled the victory. 1997 JACOBS CREEK RESERVE SHIRAZ was enjoyed with the meal. Decanted for 1 hour and nose of black fruit and slight oak. Bright fruit flavors with vanilla, oak and blackberry in a frame of almost opaque dark/ruby/purple. Very nice with the victory celebration. $14
The upcoming game brings memories of the Colts and Giants.... Johnny U you listening?

We had grilled medallions of venison tenderloin along with medallions of venison tenderloin along with............. more medallions of grilled venison tenderloin.

Oh my gosh, the venison was SO GOOD! And so was the FOOTBALL. GO RAVENS.

We also had fresh smoked bluefish mousse for a dip with the crackers and cheese (parmegano-reggiano, a nice sheeps milk cheese from Italy, a nice goat's milk cheese from spain (called drunken goat) and some very nice brie from France).

Along with that we quaffed a bottle of 1990 Burgess Cabernet Sauvignon, a bottle of 1997 Picchioni Buttafuoco Oltrepo Pavese DOC "Vigna Riva Bianc", a bottle of 1995 Illuminati Montepulciano d' Abruzzo "Zanna Vecchio". We had to throw out the other bottle of 1999 Gaio Terazze Retiche di Sondrio because it also had undergone secondary fermentation and was plonk..... But the other wines and the venison and the cheese and..........

THE FOOTBALL made-up for the one bad bottle of wine.

Of course none of the above mentioned wines come from OZ.......

But OH MY GAWD......... WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL. SUPER BOWL XXXV HERE WE COME.

GO RAVENS!!!!

After the game we celebrated with some grilled venison tenderloin medallions and some plain ole JACK DANIELS BLACK LABEL SOUR MASH WHISKEY.

GO RAVENS !!!!!

At least normal bird caca washes off with a garden hose. Only time will flush it out of these threads!
