Went to Total Wines wine tasting today. I have never tried a SB before. They said that this is there best seller. Perty good juice for a SW. (No WW I haven't turned from the reds) A crisp wine with citrus flavors, $11.99.

I picked up a bottle to see how my wife likes it. I have seen that it goes well with shell fish. But since we don't have any shell fish I was wandering if any one has any sugestions foe cheeses to match with it? I was thinking maby a creamy cheese like Brie.

Not Brie, but Cabrie. Also Crottin de Chavignol, Appenzeller (Swiss), and Caerphilly (Wales).

Goat cheeses, mostly soft ones, are perfect with SB, so long as they have not been subjected to oak aging--the wines not the cheeses.

Well, I never did get to try some of the cheeses yall recomended. We had some Brie and tried it with the SB, and was disapointed with the match. I know....should have listened.
But we had some chicken pizza and a salad with some roasted almonds the next night. We finished the bottle and it went great with the meal. I will be getting some more of this wine.

Will also be looking for some of those cheeses.

And no oak detected in this NZ SB.
