1999 Zenith Vineyards, Pinot Noir, Marlborough $12.99 SHWC). Another Kiwi value winner! Black (versus red) cherries on the nose and upfront. Medium weight (13.5% alcohol), chewy, and complex across the palate; with a pleasant finish. Not as concentrated as other Kiwi Pinots, meaning Bucko would like it, it never-the-less matched splendidly with sauteed ham slices in wine (this one) and brandy, mustard cream sauce.
