Still on my quest for quality daily drinkers, sub $10 wines. Stumbled on this sale bottle at one of my local hang outs. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Shiraz and 15% Merlot. Dark purple garnet in the glass, not opaque. Very elegant and balanced with delicious flavors of dark and red berries, mocha, pepper and spice on the long finish. Subtle use of oak. Ample tannins kick in on the mid palate. Paid $5.99 a bottle and returned and bought a case. 14.5%Alc/vol.
