I put this menu together Friday night and served it for dinner on Saturday. We started eating the meal at 6 PM and finished our dessert about 9:30 PM. Just wanted to put something good on the table:

First - Fresh chilled hearts of Romaine with grape tomatoes lightly coated with Hazelnut-Raspberry vinaigrette.

Second - Potato, leek and fennel soup garnished with a dollop of sour cream and a fresh sprig of fennel.

Third - Crab Supreme garnished with shrimp

Fourth - Grilled Rib-eye steaks with steamed asparagus and hollandaise sauce, saffron and mushroom risotto and roast beet relish on the side.

Fith - Ben & Jerry's frozen yogurt

We drank Asti with the first three courses and then drank some Jacob's Creek Shiraz-Cabernet and some La Chase du Pape CDR with the beef course.

Fun to prepare and fun to eat!

And me not only on a ~!@#$%^&*(_*^#$# sabbatical but a week ago I agreed to join CB on the bloomin' Adkins diet for awhile. Needed half a box of Kleenex to wipe up the drool on the keyboard. WW
