After the Aussie thread earlier in the week, I went down stairs to see what I still had. And found 2 of the '03s just sitting there looking at me.

This wine is a blend of 52% Cab, 48% Shiraz. Opened up for about an hour before tasting but did not decant.

Nose is full of bright red fruit, especially cherries. Also a touch of cream. The palate has much of the same. Great acid balance giving the mid palate a bit of weight. Finish was nice and long. The tannins are sweetish on the finish but overall I believe the balance of this wine will let it age for another 8 to 12 years.

I agree with Dan on the '01, don't remember well enough the '02. I would highly recommend this vintage. Can't wait to taste the '04 and '05.

Great juice.
