Have had this for a short time and as Eileen likes merlot, popped this the other night.
If you close your eyes, smell and taste, you would think French Bordeaux. This is no Aussie over oaked fruit bomb. Dark ruby/purple, not opaque. Very earthy with mushroom and milk chocolate scents. Full bodied with berry and dark cherry flavors with a touch of oak and a lingering finish make this a good value at $9.99. 13.5% Alc/vol.

Paringa shiraz has been popular in the Raleigh area. Also a good QPR. I haven't tried the merlot yet.
