I'm having dinner at a friends home and we'll be having lasagna. I have absolutly no knowledge about wines and could use a couple hints. Thanx.

Many red wines match with Lasagna. My favorite match is a good California Barbera. This wine usually has good acid to match the tartness from the tomato based sauce of Lasagna.

I like Italian Chianti Classico...or even better Chianti Classico Reserva. Not too expensive and your friends will probably like too...I like the Gabbiano brand both for quality and value.

Look for Michele Chiarlo, Barbera D'Asti. Delicious with pasta.

Why go for California when you can have the real thing from Italy for about $8 or $9/bottle?
