Well guys, I found one.... this one could go on the best buy thread as well. I opened this wine up after dinner, and it completely blew us away! I have had some $70 and up Calfornia Cabs that would not measure up to this wine.... and this was under $20! I found it to be extremely concentrated, heavy on the plum and chocolate, but with very well balanced tannins. Unfortunately, I only bought one bottle of it about two months ago to try, and now I cannot find it anywhere. If you see it.... buy it! If you do not, my sympathies go out to you. This is one of the best cabs I have tasted in this price range.... EVER! I strongly advise looking for this one. It is worth the search!

During our recent trip to OBX, we had the pleasure of sampling a Wolf Blass Grenache. The restaurant charged a bit more than $20.00 for this $12.00 wine, but under the circumstances the price hike was not such a big deal.

I'll be on the look-out for the CS. Sounds like it is worthwhile!!

Recently got a call from one of the wine stores I frequent, and was told the 98' was in and I picked up half a case. Popped one open a few days ago, and though I enjoyed it, thought it just was not as good as the 97'. Still a very nice wine for the money though.

Southern Hemisphere Wine Center currently lists the '96 and '98 for $19.99. They don't have the '97. Reach them at 1-800-504-9463 or www.southernwines.com . Be prepared to pay shipping from the left coast.
