McLaren Vale. Haven't pulled any since 11/02, so thought I'd see how it's coming along. Back then, it was still a bit hard with tannins holding back spicy, peppery Shiraz fruit. Decanted for 30 minutes before 1st pour. Dark ruby color, with a tart red fruit nose with a bit of smoke. Like flavors, and the tannins are slowly fading. Medium-weight. Cinnamon stick on the finish. Not too bad. FWIW, 89 from WS, RP, and W&S. 14% alc. Paid about $15.
