What a sleeper this was.

Very tannic upon first opening, and almost too much for me to drink, I thought I'd need to cellar for 10 years. After one night under a Vac-u-vin cork, in the fridge, I took it out to let a good friend see how tannic this wine was. I couldn't believe how much it opened up.

Very delicious, with strong, racy fruit flavors and much milder, smooth tannins. Medium finish. I've never had a bottle of wine improve so drastically overnight before. This wine will drink well now with adequate decanting, and would certainly cellar for 5-10 years. Another great '98 from Aussieland.

$12 at my local merchant.
