2008 Knappstein Clare Valley Riesling

My first Australian Riesling? for this price, it won't be my last. Very different profile than either Germany, Austrian or Alsace. Almost like a good Ontario Riesling. There is a good focus and clarity of the wine. Nicely crisp, very clean, but perhaps lacking the complexity that I like in an Alsace. Very different representation of the grape in this area and it is very attractive. Not entirely my style but interesting.
