Picked this one on the advice of a trusted local retailer. it's the second-tier label from Nautulis, selling for NZ$16 or so. (I was on a baudget that week.) Nice gooseberry nose, quite grassy as well. Definately not as lemony as some of the Marlborough sav blancs I've been drinking recently, but a very nice mouthfeel and quite complex, too.

Rated a 90 by Wine Spectator online and awarded several bronzes in various winshows.

Skeeters Tasting Notes Say: If that's Second Tier, the Nautilus must be indredible.

That price is what we used to be able to get Nautilus for here in the US (a bit over US$9). If the Twin Islands is what Nautilus used to be, then it could well be it's replacement based on price.

Nautilus is still producing wines under the original label, averaging NZ$25+. (That's around $12-14 US dollars if I've got the exchange rate correct.)

www.nautilusestate.com is thier homepage.

This page at tizwine.com indicates they are definately marketing the Twin Islands as a second-string label. http://www.tizwine.com/wineryprofile$220

Still, As I noted, it's pretty damn drinkable nonetheless.
