Although the '05 has a bit more body than the '04, both are beautifully made. I'm not giving full notes but there is one word that can describe these wines. "PURITY". The only imperfection I can detect is a slight bitterness on the finish, which is a little more pronounced in the '04. It seems the wine may sit on the lees a tad too long, or possibly some other reason. Still, beautiful wines.

Edit: Just thought of another possible cause of the bitter note. Maybe just needs more time in the bottle. One other thing, the acid is high in all of his wines. Makes me wonder what he'd do with Pinot Noir or any other high acid red. I haven't tasted his Napa Cab, but will soon. He also makes the Layer Cake wines which are superb values. The shiraz is a trip. You can actually taste the layers of complexity in the wine. And all that for $15. What a steal.
