2005 Cecchi Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano

This is one of the Italians from the mixed case that D brought me from Spec's last month for Father's Day. She brought three of this.... had to pop one last night to accompany her eggplant parmesan, one of her many killer dishes. Deep ruby, good clarity, nose of a bulked up Chianti Classico; solid Sangiovese on the palate with complexity added by Canailo and Mammolo in unspecified quantities; very nice finish, stays with the eggplant throughout. Think she gave about $20 for it. 13.5% alc/vol.
