in piemonte in 1990 i bought a 3 litre marchesi di barolo, barolo from 1985. in original wooden box, and in my cellar since.
any retailvalue to this today ?

Hard to tell. I'm assuming the bottle is the regular DOCG and not the Cannubi or Sarmassa. I'd estimate the retail price of the regular in 3L size to be about US$200 to 250. Be aware though that's not the price you'd get if you wanted to sell to or through a dealer or broker. They would give you essentially wholesale price that's 30% to 40% lower than retail. Best to keep it another 5 years and open it at a party of wine lovers.
