OK, I admit it, I generally hate to see these type of inquiries, but.... A co-worker asked me about a bottle of wine he has stored away, so I said I would seek the wisdom of the board for him. He has a bottle of a 1971 Barolo. All the info he could relay from the bottle was this: Poderi Scanavino Giovanni

I've already told him that it's value is in the drinking, not monetary, if he's lucky. He tells me that it has been stored at 50-55 degrees (I'm skeptical). What are the odds that this bottle is drinkable or better?
