As a relative novice, I am seeking opinions about a 1971 Conterno barbera I have. Will it delight my friends or will they turn up their noses? What about a '67 Oddero barolo? Thanks.

Tough call. It's possible that neither one may be any good, or that at least the fruit is gone, but the only way to find out is to open them. Suggest you have a few back-up bottles of something else just incase, and hope for the best!
