100% Sangiovese with a nice ruby color. Nose was almost typical Chianti except that it was much cleaner and more intense. Some wood and gameyness to the nose as well. The flavor is much more intense than a standard Chianti. Nice spiciness to the wine.

Worth the price of admission at $24

Paired with a spicy tomato portabello basis tomato sause on pasta. While meat would have worked better the basil actually because it was so fragrant, worked quite well with the wine.
