Beautiful wine! Looks like a Barbera, smell like a Barbera, tastes like a Barbera! And from Cali-for-nia, at that. The best I've had from anywhere other than the Alba region of Italy. With pizza at home when we found the local Olive Garden jernt too crowded after church last night; $22 and a whopping 14.8% alc/vol (no wonder we slept in until 7 this morning, 'way beyond our usual 4:30 - 5).

Sounds like a winner. Oddly enough we had an eggplant pizza after services last night. We had done a 7 to 7 fast, so we not only demolished a large pizza, but also a couple of small bags of chips, half of half gallon of rich chocolate ice cream, and bag of almonds later. We slept till 8 EST this morning so we got up about the same time you did!
