I am Catering a party with an around the world theme. One of the courses I am serving is Roasted Salmon with a Thai Red Curry Sauce and Bok Choy would you recommend a Plum wine? I am not sure what I can serve to stay within the theme of the party. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Plum wine would be good, but I'd guarantee that only minority of people would find it to their liking. I think a California White Zinfandel would find more takers.

At any rate, something slightly sweet, fairly light (9-11% alcohol) and easy to drink is the ticket for spicy-hot food. I'd recommend a German QbA or Kabinett level Riesling -- not too sweet, but refreshing enough to sooth the palate.
