Had this dessert wine, produced by Rosa E. Girolamo Dorigo, during our last trip to Italy. It was outstanding! Does anyone know where in northern or central NJ I can buy some and what the cost might be?

Try Canals fine wines at- <http://www.canalsforwine.com/>
or just email Charlie at <canalsmarlton@yahoo.com> and tell him Kathy from Seattle sent you. He'll have it or canget it if it's in the US.

Picolit is rare even in the region where it grows, so finding it in NJ is a challenge.

In Friuli Venezia Giulia there are people who fight over the possibility that what is labeled Piccolit is not really of that grape. The grape is believed to be direct from the wild and, like wild grapes, does not produce much when it does, and it does not produce a viable crop every year. That is what the people of the region tell me.
