$7.50 a glass at Pierro's Italian Bistro and I actually prefered the $5.00 glass of Kenwood Sauvignon Blanc. I usually like Valpolicella but this was not up to standard. Dark garnet, nearly opaque. A bit rough and tannic for a Valpolicella which I think of as a wine with some charm. Dark fruited--dark cherries, blackberries. Seems high in alcohol although I didn't check the label. Had sort of a murky texture. I have been suffering from allergies as the pollen count is sky high in North Carolina so didn't get much nose on this. Wine-searcher prices start at just under $10 and go up to just under $20.
