1985 Cecelia Beretta Amarone

I'm a novice with reference to wines, but I'm learning! I was given a bottle of 1985 Amarone, Cecilia Beretta, Terre di Cariano Valpolicella Classico. Can anyone tell me about this wine? I've learned some things about Amarones, being a port lover, I was happy to learn there are similarities, so I'm excited about it. What should I serve it with, provided it's not past it's prime. Thank you for any help/advice!

I do not know that wine in particular, but if it was a good one, it could still be drinkable. Go with strong cheese.


Yet, I wonder what you mean by Amarone's similarities to Port.
