1990 Alfredo Roagna, Barolo, La Rocca e La Pira - Big, spicy, black cherry/berry fruit, with leather, tar, and pretty floral notes. Nice, sweet black cherry/berry fruit in the mouth, with spice, leather, tar, and floral
notes. An approachable, modern style, but it still stays true to the region and the grape. An excellent match with my duck and Carolyn's lamb. Approx...90-91.
