Thought I'd posted on this earlier, but guess not. Decanted an hour before dinner of Italian-seasoned meatloaf, various veggies with lots of garlic. Beautiful nose, inky opaque color; brooding dark fruit on the entry, then opens to show solid depth with lead pencil, a touch of charcoal, and plenty more dark fruit; lingering finish and just too danged small a bottle. 14.5% alc/vol and about $14.

Those '97 and '99 Brunellos are nice aren't they?

Egads! Latest Speculator gives the '01 of this juice a 97 and names it their WOTY! What are the odds of finding it again at the old price?! Zilch! Nada! Fuggetaboutit! (bawl, whine)

They're showing the price of the 01 at $70. From $14 to $70 in two years is quite a jump. After the number 1 rating, any guesses on what the 02 will be going for?

Some kind of nose-bleed number, to be sure.
