2001 Ideale La Nunsio Barbera d'Asti Superiore

Bright, clear ruby in the glass, no clouding at all, fruity entry, liquid raspberries across the palate with a moderate finish. More body than most from Asti but still not an Alba wine. 13% ABV. Dunno the price - a Christmas gift from lovely wife - but given the point of purchase was Central Market, suspect $20-$22. Nice match with roasted chicken and low-carb penne pasta with marinara sauce and steamed brocolli.
