Saw a few old notes for this, but not this vintage...
Great little wine (called little only in reference to the $15 price tag)!

Bright cherry up front on a big rustic body (some tar, some woodsy-herbal-spice notes) and very nicely balanced finish with plenty of acid to throw tomato-based foods at.

If you're reading this, Duane, give this a try. I picked it up at Grapevine in Kirkwood.
Give it some breathing time.
If you don't like this, you really just might not like central Italian red-wine making... Plenty of acidity and "rusticity."
Molise is SE of Tuscany (where chianti comes from) and this wine has different grapes than chianti, and has more fruit and body than most chianti, but shares those stylistic traits I just mentioned.

(OK, there's WAY more things going on in central Italy than acidic rustic wines, but this seems to be a bit of a hallmark style)

Anyway, great wine for the dollar. I might get a case and then leave it be until winter, which nary a bottle shall survive.

In homage to WW's methodology, 90/95

Thanks VH, sounds like a good test. Kirkwood is a bit out of the way for me, but I'll definitely look for it where I usually go (Wine and Cheese Place) in Clayton.

I completely forgot that you live in St. Louis. My apologies for not inviting you to my tasting earlier this month!

No problem! I was a bit busy earlier this month (wedding!). If you have another one, let me know! I'll bring something good
