'04 Picollo Gavi

2004 Picollo, Piemonte, Gavi ($9.49 Wine Expo). Alcohol level: 12%. A very nice Cortese. Light citrus and apples on the nose and upfront. Very dry and mineraly with some nice mild complexity. Delightful finish.

Matched with Chesapeake Crab Cakes, roasted red potatoes, and asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Yes asparagus! All went very well together.
