From Arnaldo Caprai in Umbria, this is a beautiful blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot. The Sangiovese base gives it the character of a fine Chianti Classico, but softened by the Merlot with added complexity of the Sagrantino. 13.5% alc/vol. With pizza, but deserving of more elegant fare. $26 at the high-dollar shop but $21.88 at Spec's in Houston, per their Website.

With D's eggplant parmesan and homemade marinara sauce. Holy smokes, it doesn't get any better than this! (burp)
