I am looking for someone to please help me find where I may purchase a wine called Isassi Chianti Classico.

I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and have not been able to find the wine at any liquor store or grocery store or anywhere in the entire metroplex.

I fell in love with the wine when I tried it at a local restaurant.

thank you

PS
I forgot to mention in my previous post for help with the Isassi Chianti Classico

I have done some internet research and I did find where the wine was listed under Melini Gruppo Italiano Vini
I just couldn't ever figure out how to buy the wine ?
or where I could buy the wine ?

I don't know much about wine at all but
I'm hoping I can buy it by the case ?

Melini is a big chianti producer, and you shouldn't have any problem ordering some of their chianti from any large wine store. See if you can get some of the 1997 vintage (a great year in Tuscany), or if not, 1995. But my adive is that if you like chianti, why limit yourself to this producer? Antinori, Banfi, Badia a Coltibuono, Isole e Olena, Monsanto and others all produce good chianti, and most are in wide distribution. Also, if you have determined that you like chianti, which is based on the sangiovese grape, do try some California sangioveses as well. They will generally be oakier than chianti, but with some of the same flavor notes that you have come to appreciate from Chianti Classico. Pedroncelli does a decent Sangiovese, and Bonny Doon's Il Fiasco 100% Sangiovese is worth trying, too. Happy hunting!

misterjive......

Thank you for your helpful hints. I have wrote down the information you sent and hope to get a chance to try and do some research.
By no means at all do I want to limit myself. I was just looking for a way to try and find the one wine I know I like as a starting point.

do you know the names of any large wine stores in particular that I may try to find the chianti I was looking for as well as all of the others you mentioned ?

on the internet ?

I really don't know how to go about this very well at all and I truly am someone with very little knowledge about wine.

Thanks again for your response !!! I do appreciate it very much !!
Leigh
