Another one of these...what the heck is in my mouth?? I think I like it...I think I like it a lot....or at least I think I do. Yes I do...

It is clear golden color. It noses like a crisp and nutty wine. Really dry but makes me think of honey, nuts nuts. It is a really full body, mouth filling and achingly complex. Earthly minerality and a an acidity which contributes to a LONG finish. I don't think I've ever had a white quite like this.

I want to drink it more to look for more.....I've had several glasses already.......I've never had a Ribolla...If not for the price (at $80) and the apparent lack of supply, I would get a case. apparently there was an over 6 months wait for this to come in.

Engineer--welcome aboard.

That is expensive, but Ribolla Giallo is one of the most fascinating white wines in the world. If you get to a good retailer you can find one or two at better prices, but they are not readily available in the U.S.

Roberto might have one or two in Santa Monica.

Thanks!

That was a memorable wine. I don't think I forget the way it tastes or feels in your mouth. I'll look for it again I'm sure.

Yeah, we have a good bit of 1997 Gravner ($72.00), a little bit of Tenuta Villanova 2003 ($19.99) and also some Donati Nosiola which is supposed to be the same variety ($14.99). Happy Hunting.....6 days till I leave for VinItaly, Roberto
