Hi I'm new to all this. I found this merlot and was wondering if anyone has ever tasted this wine? Also what would be the best meal to have with it. I think we are going to try it with a roast at a dinner party tonight? I found 3 bottles of it and want to taste it before the others are gone just in case this is a very good Merlot. Also are merlot's very dry, dry or what? Thank you for all the advice. Daylon

Hi Daylon, and welcome to the Wine Board. Hope this isn't too late, and if so, that all went well. Know the wine only by reputation, which is good. Unless you see a term late "late harvest" associted with it, merlot is always vinted dry. A good one will carry so much upfront fruit that it may seem sweet.

thank you Innkeeper. I was very unhappy with the wine. It was very very bitter to me. I don't know if it should have been drank years ago or needs to age more but not happy at all. I have not been a big fan of merlot's but thought maybe an older one would be good. Thank You for the advice. Daylon

Actually my references show this winery producing only average wines but I, like IK, have no direct experience with their offerings.
