Opened a 1985 Travaglini Gattinara with baked pork chops last night...delightful, and had to be at its peak.

Very complex with old (but not over the hill) wine smells and tastes...hints of cedar, tar and still plenty of cherry fruit. Every bit of tannin resolved. Very nice too with some gouda at the end.
