Is anyone was familiar with Royal Caribbean's wine list? I like red wine, semi-dry, with a light berry background, thx.

Hi DB, and welcome to the Wine Board. Not familiar with it, but don't they provide you with one? It could also be on their website. I'm fairly certain you will be able to find something you like it. If it is overwhelming, ask for advice from the wine steward.

Here's what one person had to say:

"However, the wine waitress was unable to provide many of the wines on the wine list, much to the disappointment of many passengers. Curiously RCI always seemed to be able to find the most expensive choices. There is little excuse for this."

I've heard that wines never taste as good on ships due to the constant vibrations. I cannot personally attest to this.

I have been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and was very pleased with the wine service. The list was extensive and I found selections that were reasonable and some that were big bucks. My server was very well informed and was certainly willing to have us do informal tastings to allow us to try wines that we were curious about.

My personal experience, RCC don't have a great wine list. I would say that their list is good enough. The best list so far thatI have seen is from Princess Cruises. They carry a lot of incredible wines including Opus One, Caymus, Ornellaia (sp), etc.

I would say in my experience that most Cruise lines that I have travel with will have a good enough wine list to be able to find at least seven bottles that worst buying (considering price and quality).
