2001 Argiolas, Costamolino, Vermentino Di Sardegna ($10.99 local). Another lusty full bodied Vermentino with modest $12.5% alcohol. Strong aromoas of spicy flowers on the nose and up front. Complex flavor including almonds and apples combine with crisp acidity across the palate. All ending with a lovely finish. This was a few dollars more than we had been paying for Vermentino, but well worth it. It matched splendidly with the afore posted chicken breast in almond cream sauce.

Sounds really good and a great match for the dish.

We popped a 2002 last night (down to $9 Belfast Coop). Just as nice, if not better. Matched with sauteed chicken breast with leftover lemony hollandaise on it. Wonderful.

Got four bottles of the '04 in from Pops at $11.35 and 13.5% alcohol. It is better than ever, and bad news; not only did son-in-law love it, so did daughter! Guess next time we pop two! Tonight we matched it with Haddock a'la Creme, green beans, cherry tomatoes vinaigrette, and rye loaf. Cheers all over.

Finished the last of this batch with a nice Chicken Parmagiana. Yum.
